Care and Maintenance of the Rhodesian Ridgeback

Taking care of a Rhodesian Ridgeback involves regular grooming, exercise, and training. Their short coat requires minimal maintenance, but they do shed seasonally, so brushing a few times a week is recommended. Like all active breeds, they benefit from regular physical activity to burn off energy.

Rhodesian Ridgebacks are generally healthy, but they can be prone to certain conditions such as hip dysplasia, thyroid issues, and dermoid sinus (a skin condition). Regular veterinary check-ups and a balanced diet will help keep them in top shape.
